Fair Play in the sport defeat. The moral reasoning of students between 16 and 17 years

El Fair play, es uno de los contenidos importantes en el deporte escolar, ya que los centros educativos se enfocan ante todo en la formación integral de los niños y adolescentes, construyendo de esta manera una sociedad consecuente con los valores y derechos humanos. El objetivo del estudio es analizar el razonamiento moral de los/as escolares de tercer año medio, sobre la socialización tras una derrota deportiva, por medio de un dilema hipotético. La investigación respondió a una metodología cualitativa, en la que participaron 16 estudiantes de tercer año medio (10 hombres y 6 mujeres), con edades comprendidas entre los 16 y 17 años, pertenecientes a un colegio científico-humanista de la comuna de Quilpué, Chile. Los resultados indican seis dimensiones, que han sido percibidas por el alumnado como importantes para una manifestación de fair play ante la derrota deportiva y dos elementos que han de dificultar este objetivo. Se puede concluir que la educación valórica, la reflexión sobre la derrota y la inclusión de espacios de socialización entre los participantes de un encuentro competitivo, son factores identificados como relevantes para el fair play.; Fair play is one of the important contents in school sports, since the educational centers are focused primarily on the integral formation of children and adolescents, thus building a society consistent with human values and rights. Notes on a history of tennis in Brazil: Sport clubs and teaching approaches

O estudo trata de investigar a prática esportiva do tênis nos primeiros clubes no Brasil, buscando evidências sobre os métodos utilizados para ensinar o esporte. Para tal, recorreu-se á revisão bibliográfica e a análise documental das fontes coletadas para a pesquisa. A interpretação das informações revelou que a prática do tênis desenvolveu-se de forma significativa nos clubes e alastrouse para outros espaços sociais. Também há indícios que nos clubes foram experimentados e modificados métodos de ensino do tênis pelos instrutores/professores ao longo do tempo.; The study aims to investigate the composition of the sportive practice of tennis in Brazilian clubs, as well as to seek evidences regarding the methods used to teach tennis over the years. To do this, we resorted to bibliographical review and document analysis. Os organismos internacionais cumprem relevante papel pedagógico no âmbito da atual fase da sociedade capitalista e na correlação de forças entre as classes sociais. O Sistema ONU (Secretaria Geral, suas agências e Fundos) ocupa papel de grande relevo nesse processo. O conjunto de questões que marcam o projeto capitalista neoliberal incide no campo dos esportes e o Sistema ONU passou a conferir um papel de destaque aos esportes. Isso implicou na criação de uma série de programas e ações. O presente artigo tem como objetivo compreender como está sendo sistematizada pelo governo federal brasileiro a denominada “Rede Nacional de Treinamento”, principalmente nos aspectos relativos à formação de jovens talentos esportivos. Para alcançar tal intento foram analisadas as fontes oficiais disponibilizadas pelo governo brasileiro A título de conclusão o trabalho aponta que a referida ação encontra-se ainda na fase de implementação, sendo hoje mais um desejo político do que uma realidade que contribua para o desenvolvimento dos jovens talentos esportivos brasileiros.; The objective of this article is to understand how the Brazilian Federal Government is systematizing the so-called "National Network of Training", mainly in the aspects related to the training of young sport talents. Elderly evaluation through functional tests and walk test

El envejecimiento disminuye la autonomía e independencia de los adultos mayores. La fuerza muscular, flexibilidad y marcha son mejoradas con actividad física. Objetivos: comparar los resultados de las características físicas, los tests funcionales y tests de marcha entre grupos de adultos mayores activos y sedentarios; Metodogía: se evaluaron dos grupos, cada uno con 13 individuos, de adultos mayores activos y sedentarios - el nivel de actividad física fue autoreportado - mediante cinco tests funcionales y dos tests de marcha. Resultados: el grupo de activos presentó mayor circunferencia abdominal e índice cintura-cadera. No fueron encontradas diferencias para los tests funcionales y de marcha entre los dos grupos. Con diferentes ecuaciones fueron encontradas diferencias intra grupo: la ecuación de Enright &amp; Sherrill, 1998 y Troosters, Gosselink &amp; Decramer, 1999 para los dos grupos; para la ecuación de Enright, 2003 para el grupo de sedentarios. Conclusiones: Solamente hubo diferencia entre grupos para dos variables físicas.&#13;
Se sugiere que la intensidad de la actividad física debe ser sistematizada y monitoreada para que sea posible alcanzar los resultados y beneficios de una vida activa.; Autonomy and independency are reduced by the ageing. Differences intra-group were found with different equations: the Enright &amp;amp; Sherrill equation, 1998 and Troosters, Gosselink &amp;amp; Decramer, 1999 for the two groups; for the Enright equation, 2003 for the sedentary group. Conclusions: Only two physical parameters showed difference between the groups. The intensity of physical activity should be systematic and monitored to achieve the results and benefits of an active lifestyle.

“I do not give up easy”: formation narratives and professional activity of a physical education teacher

O objetivo deste estudo foi investigar o percurso de formação e atuação profissional de uma professora de educação física no desenvolvimento de projetos extracurriculares de ginástica e de dança nas escolas onde atuou. Realizamos um estudo de caso, com uma professora de educação física de Cuiabá-MT, Brasil, com 19 anos de experiência profissional. Dentre os resultados, identificamos em sua narrativa a influência da sua formação pré-profissional e profissional; a fase de entrada na carreira; a fase da diversificação; de questionamento profissional e o investimento em projetos extracurriculares de ginástica e dança. Além de professora de educação física, ela também atuou como articuladora do programa Mais Educação e como formadora na Secretaria Municipal de Educação, o que denotou envolvimento e diversificação do exercício da docência.; The goal of this study was to investigate the formation narratives and professional activity of a Physical Education teacher in the development of extracurricular projects of gymnastics and dance in the schools where she worked. Creencias de estudiantes de educación física para enseñanza del deporte

The objective of this study was to analyze the beliefs of undergraduates about the strategies for teaching sports at the beginning of their Bachelors degree in Physical Education at a public university in Southern Brazil. A qualitative, descriptive and interpretive research approach was adopted through multiple case studies. Eight bachelor students in Physical Education participated in the study. To collect the data, we used a combination of structured and semi-structured interview procedures, systematic observation, and memory stimulation. Content analysis was used from categories determined a priori. The results indicated that the students have beliefs that favor strategies focused on analytical learning tasks, verbal management interventions, prescriptive pedagogical feedbacks, and positive evaluations. These beliefs were developed mainly through personal practical experiences in competitive sports as well as through observation of coaches or teachers and verbal orientations received from coaches and peers. The undergraduates’ beliefs about teaching strategies represent a particular conceptual model, with structures similar to directive teaching models. Thus, we conclude that the prolonged contact of the undergraduates with various learning situations in sports contributed to the memorization of concepts, values, and teaching behaviors, which enabled and conditioned the construction of one own model of teaching sports.; El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar las creencias de los estudiantes de Educación Física de una universidad pública brasileña, acerca de las estrategias para la enseñanza de los deportes. Se realizó una investigación cualitativa, descriptiva e interpretativa con procedimientos de estudio de casos múltiplos de ocho estudiantes de licenciatura en Educación Física. Los datos fueron obtenidos por medio de la combinación de procedimientos de entrevista, observación sistemática y estimulación de la memoria. Para el análisis de contenido se utilizó categorías determinadas a priori. Los resultados indicaron que los estudiantes presentaron creencias que favorecen estrategias enfocadas en tareas analíticas de aprendizaje, intervenciones verbales de manejo de clase, feedbacks pedagógicos prescriptivos y evaluativos positivos. Estas creencias se desarrollaron a través de experiencias prácticas personales en deportes competitivos, la observación de entrenadores o maestros, y en las orientaciones verbales recibidas de entrenadores y compañeros. Las creencias de los estudiantes retratan un modelo conceptual particular, con estructuras similares a los modelos de enseñanza directiva. Se concluyó que el contacto prolongado de los estudiantes en situaciones de aprendizaje en los deportes contribuyó a la memorización de conceptos, valores y comportamientos de enseñanza, condicionando la construcción de su modelo personal de enseñanza de los deportes.

<dc:description>The objective of this study was to analyze the beliefs of undergraduates about the strategies for teaching sports at the beginning of their Bachelors degree in Physical Education at a public university in Southern Brazil. A qualitative, descriptive and interpretive research approach was adopted through multiple case studies. Eight bachelor students in Physical Education participated in the study. To collect the data, we used a combination of structured and semi-structured interview procedures, systematic observation, and memory stimulation. Content analysis was used from categories determined a priori. The results indicated that the students have beliefs that favor strategies focused on analytical learning tasks, verbal management interventions, prescriptive pedagogical feedbacks, and positive evaluations. These beliefs were developed mainly through personal practical experiences in competitive sports as well as through observation of coaches or teachers and verbal orientations received from coaches and peers. The undergraduates’ beliefs about teaching strategies represent a particular conceptual model, with structures similar to directive teaching models. Thus, we conclude that the prolonged contact of the undergraduates with various learning situations in sports contributed to the memorization of concepts, values, and teaching behaviors, which enabled and conditioned the construction of one own model of teaching sports.

El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar las creencias de los estudiantes de Educación Física de una universidad pública brasileña, acerca de las estrategias para la enseñanza de los deportes. Se realizó una investigación cualitativa, descriptiva e interpretativa con procedimientos de estudio de casos múltiplos de ocho estudiantes de licenciatura en Educación Física. Los datos fueron obtenidos por medio de la combinación de procedimientos de entrevista, observación sistemática y estimulación de la memoria. Para el análisis de contenido se utilizó categorías determinadas a priori. Los resultados indicaron que los estudiantes presentaron creencias que favorecen estrategias enfocadas en tareas analíticas de aprendizaje, intervenciones verbales de manejo de clase, feedbacks pedagógicos prescriptivos y evaluativos positivos. Estas creencias se desarrollaron a través de experiencias prácticas personales en deportes competitivos, la observación de entrenadores o maestros, y en las orientaciones verbales recibidas de entrenadores y compañeros. Las creencias de los estudiantes retratan un modelo conceptual particular, con estructuras similares a los modelos de enseñanza directiva. Se concluyó que el contacto prolongado de los estudiantes en situaciones de aprendizaje en los deportes contribuyó a la memorización de conceptos, valores y comportamientos de enseñanza, condicionando la construcción de su modelo personal de enseñanza de los deportes.</dc:description>
