La utilización de servicios de salud odontológicos se ve afectada por aspectos como: edad, sexo, educación, ocupación, posición socioeconómica, disponibilidad de servicios, ubicación geográfica, aspectos culturales, actitudes frente a la salud, valores, estilos de vida, experiencias de atención y presencia o ausencia de síntomas; además debemos tener en cuenta los factores subjetivos como el miedo y ansiedad. En la actualidad, la pandemia que estamos atravesando modifica la atención de los pacientes en el consultorio y en los servicios hospitalarios, en donde solamente son asistidos por urgencias. Esto nos pone frente a una barrera más complicada a resolver, ya que los tratamientos tendrán escaso control de seguimiento. Caracterizar los factores sociodemográficos que inciden en la atención odontológica de pacientes que concurren a la FOLP y relevar problemas de salud bucal, son los objetivos más importantes de este proyecto. Se encuestaron 20 varones y 33 mujeres, en un rango de edad de 35 a 45. 40 (75%) encuestados manifestaron tener dificultades de traslado, 45 (85%) manifiestan inconvenientes económicos, 8 (13%) por razones laborales no continuaron los tratamientos, y 5 (9,5%) tenían inconvenientes en su salud general. El derecho a la salud se ve afectado ante las barreras mencionadas.

The use of dental health services is affected by aspects such as: age, gender, education, occupation, socioeconomic position, availability of services, geographical location, cultural aspects, attitudes towards health, values, lifestyles, experiences of care and presence or absence of symptoms; we must also take into account subjective factors such as fear and anxiety. Nowadays, the pandemic that we are going through modifies the care of patients in the dental office and in hospital services, where they are only assisted in emergencies. This puts us in front of a more complicated barrier to solve, since the treatments will have little follow-up control. Characterizing the sociodemographic factors that affect the dental care of patients attending the FOLP and assessing oral health problems, are the most important objectives of this project. 20 men and 33 women were surveyed, in an age range of 35 to 45. 40 (75%) respondents stated that they had transportation difficulties, 45 (85%) expressed financial inconvenience, 8 (13%) for work reasons did not continue the treatments, and 5 (9,5%) had problems in their general health. The right to health is affected by the previously mentioned barriers.
