Implicancias del trabajo social en la rehabilitación post Covid

Abstract

El artículo presenta la experiencia desde el trabajo social en una sala de rehabilitación post Unidad de Terapia Intensiva post Covid en un hospital general de agudos de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires. Se describen las características de la sala y sus objetivos institucionales. Luego se delinean algunos aspectos de la intervención del trabajo social en este espacio y por último se reflexiona sobre el impacto subjetivo de la enfermedad y la disrupción biográfica que produce la pandemia tanto en las personas internadas y sus familias como en el colectivo profesional. La metodología utilizada se basa en el análisis cualitativo de los registros de la práctica profesional y la consulta a fuentes secundarias como referencias bibliográficas y documentos de la política pública.

The article presents the experience from social work in a rehabilitation room post Intensive Care Unit for Covid in a general acute care hospital of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. The characteristics of the room and its institutional objectives. Some aspects of social work intervention in this space are outlined and finally it reflects on the subjective impact of the disease and the biographical disruption that the pandemic produces both in hospitalized people and their families as well as in the professional group. The methodology used is based on the qualitative analysis of professional practice records and the consultation of secondary sources such as bibliographic references and public policy documents.
