Turismo religioso y turismo espiritual

Abstract

En los últimos años el crecimiento del turismo religioso ha traspasado los límites nacionales y locales, generando escenarios que permiten la confluencia de diferentes religiones y espiritualidades, de esto se desprende una nueva tendencia llamada turismo espiritual o turismo de la espiritualidad. La peregrinación representando una de las prácticas más usuales de turismo religioso, recuperando en los últimos años su valor de antaño, se ha convertido al mismo tiempo en una manifestación de turismo espiritual o de la espiritualidad. En el marco de la peregrinación hacia la Virgen de los Tres Cerritos analizamos las razones que llevan al peregrino a participar de la misma para de esta forma definir y enmarcar los límites entre ambas tipologías y clasificar dicho destino. Si bien en el marco teórico podemos entender sus diferencias y particularidades de forma clara, no sucede lo mismo en el ámbito empírico, en el cual aparecen ambigüedades y límites difusos. A partir del análisis realizado se concluye que el destino representa un ámbito donde conviven cotidianamente ambas prácticas de turismo, las cuales no son excluyentes.

In the last years the growth of the religious tourism has overstep the national and local limits, generating scenes that allow the confluence of different religions and espiritualities, with this we see the emergence of a new trend called spiritual tourism or tourism of the spirituality. The peregrination represents one of the most usual practices of religious tourism, recovering in the last years his value of long ago, which nowadays it has become at the same time into a manifestation of spiritual tourism or tourism of the spirituality. In the frame of the peregrination towards the Virgin of Three Cerritos we analyze the reasons that lead the pilgrim to take part of it in order to define and to frame the limits between both practice of tourism and to classify the destination. Though with the theoretical frame we can deal his differences and particularities in a clear form, the same thing does not happen in the empirical area, in which ambiguities and diffuse limits appear. From the realized analysis one concludes that the destination represents an area where there coexist daily both practices of tourism, which are not exclusive.
