Los estudios epidemiológicos funcionan como una importante herramienta para definir prioridades, aportar recursos y guiar la planificación de las acciones y servicios de salud oral direccionados a una población. En este trabajo se evaluó el comportamiento epidemiológico de los tratamientos realizados en la población atendida en la Facultad de Odontología de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata Servicio de Prácticas Odontológicas Integradas PPS – SEPOI durante el ciclo comprendido en los años 2019-2020-2021-2022. Para lo cual, se realizo un estudio descriptivo, retrospectivo, longitudinal. De la población estudiada se obtuvo una muestra significativa de n=142181 distribuidas en un porcentaje de historias clínicas 106%, urgencias 29%, restauraciones estética 74%, tratamientos endodónticos 11 %, exodoncias 33%, estudios complementarios RX en un 92%. Como instrumento de recolección de datos se utilizó el registro único de prestaciones realizado por los estudiantes del servicio validado por los docentes. La mayor demanda de las prestaciones realizadas corresponden a restauraciones estéticas seguidas de exodoncias.

Introduction: Epidemiological studies function as an important tool to define priorities, provide resources and guide the planning of oral health actions and services aimed at a population. Dental caries and pulp pain are part of the most frequent consultations in dental practice. These pathologies have a great impact on the daily life of the patient, either due to their painful symptoms or due to situations that affect aesthetics and in turn have an impact on the daily, social, or work life of patients. Epidemiological studies function as an important tool to define priorities, provide resources and guide the planning of oral health actions and services aimed at a population. Objective: To evaluate the epidemiological behavior of the treatments carried out in the population attended at the Faculty of Dentistry of the National University of La Plata Integrated Dental Practices Service PPS - SEPOI during the cycle comprised in the years 2019-2020-2021-2022. Material and method: A descriptive, retrospective, longitudinal epidemiological study was carried out in the population attended at the Faculty of Dentistry of the National University of La Plata Integrated Dental Practices Service PPS - SEPOI during the 2019-2020-2021 cycle. 2022. The universe was made up of patients who entered the service with the need for dental treatment. A significant sample of n=142181 was obtained from the studied population. As a data collection instrument, the single record of benefits, clinical history, made by the students of the service validated by the teachers, was used. Results: A significant sample of n=142181 was obtained from the population studied, distributed in a percentage of clinical histories. 106%, emergencies 29%, aesthetic restorations 74%, endodontic treatments 11%, extractions 33%, RX complementary studies in 92%. Conclusions: According to the results obtained, we can see that the greatest demand for the services performed correspond to aesthetic restorations followed by extractions, emergencies, and finally endodontic treatments.
