Argentina, año 2008: Resolución 125/08

Abstract

El 11 de marzo de 2008, se anunció la sanción de la Resolución 125, un nuevo sistema de retenciones a la exportación de granos que pretendía estabilizar los precios en el mercado interno. La respuesta del sector, representado por la Sociedad Rural, Confederaciones Rurales, Coninagro y la Federación Agraria, agrupados en la Mesa de Enlace, abrió un enfrentamiento entre el gobierno y uno de los sectores históricamente más poderosos del país llegó a poner en jaque al sistema democrático y mantuvo en vilo a una sociedad movilizada, que tomó decidido partido por uno u otro bando. Los agroexportadores y sus socios de la prensa hegemónica, emprendieron un ataque en toda la línea contra “El populismo”, que en la Argentina siempre fue sinónimo de peronismo. Finalmente, el 18 de julio, la presidenta ordenaría dejar sin efecto la Resolución, luego del famoso voto “no positivo” del Vicepresidente Julio Cobos. Recrearemos el concepto de populismo, mostrando parte del andamiaje discursivo de los sectores en pugna y el tratamiento que los medios de comunicación le dieron al tema.

The response of the sector, represented by the Rural Society, Rural Confederations, Coninagro and the Agrarian Federation, grouped in the Liaison Table, opened a confrontation between the government and one of the historically most powerful sectors of the country that came to put the democratic system in check and kept a mobilized society in suspense, which took a decided side for one side or the other. Meanwhile, his partners in the hegemonic press launched a full-line attack against "Populism," which in Argentina was always synonymous with Peronism. Finally, on July 18, the president would order the resolution to be annulled, after the famous "no" vote of Vice President Julio Cobos. We will recreate the concept of populism, showing part of the discursive scaffolding of the sectors in conflict and the treatment that the media gave to the subject.
