Abstract

We present medium-resolution spectra at the Ca II infrared triplet for 164 giants in 12 metal-poor Galactic globular clusters. These data indicate that the lower metallicity limit for globular clusters in the Gaiaxy is -2.25 ± 0.10, and a similar value also appears to hold for other nearby globular duster systems. This paper has been published in detail in AJ, 109, 605 (1995).
