The little mermaid, y su adiós a la infancia

Abstract

El presente trabajo utiliza aspectos del relato The Little Mermaid de Hans Christian Andersen como alegoría de los trabajos psíquicos implicados en las metamorfosis de la pubertad y su elaboración psíquica adolescente. Así, bajo claves teóricas del psicoanálisis, se ofrece una perspectiva que aborda las transformaciones del sujeto a lo largo del tiempo en términos de devenir, pues la temporalidad psíquica no reconoce linealidad ni determinismo absoluto. A partir de una exégesis de textos fundamentales para nuestro propósito, exploramos panorámicamente la encrucijada inédita de lo puberal bajo los tópicos de la exploración y la segunda oleada de la sexualidad, así como el trabajo de duelo, la transformación de la imagen especular del cuerpo, la resignificación edípica y la ampliación del panorama identificatorio, vectores psíquicos que integran la adolescencia en tanto proceso de elaboración y tramitación simbólica de lo radicalmente nuevo. En esta línea, se reflexiona respecto del carácter retroactivo de los cambios, en negociación perpetua con los núcleos estables e invariantes de la subjetividad, que alimentan el vértigo libidinal e identificatorio acompañado del afecto jubiloso y penoso que implica crecer.

The present work makes use of different aspects of Hans Christian Andersen’s tale, The Little Mermaid as an allegory of the psychic works implicated in the metamorphosis of puberty and its teenage psychic elaboration. Thus, under theoretical psychoanalysis keys, a perspective that addresses the transformations of the subject as time goes by in terms of becoming is offered, since the psychic temporality does not recognize linearity or absolute determinism. From an exegesis of texts that are fundamental to our purpose, we panoramically explore the unprecedented intersection of the pubertal under the topics of exploration and the second wave of sexuality, as well as the work of mourning, the transformation of the specular image of the body, the oedipal resignification and the enlargement of the identifying panorama, psychic vectors that integrate the adolescence as an elaboration process and symbolic processing of the radically new. Along this line, we reflect upon the retroactive character of the changes, in perpetual negotiation with the stable and invariant cores of subjectivity that feed the libidinal and identifying vertigo in tow with the joyful and awful affection that growing up implicates.
