Cine universitario platense 1993-2018: formas y estéticas

Abstract

Nicolás Alessandro (2020) afirma que hay un puente posible entre lo regional y lo universitario: hay un cine regional que en ciertos lugares (como en La Plata, cuya universidad convoca a jóvenes de todas las regiones del país) está estrechamente ligado a la producción universitaria, a cómo estudiantes y graduados realizadores que transitan durante un tiempo por la región logran producir imágenes y narrar significados sociales situados. Lo universitario y las instituciones educativas han tenido parte también en la validación y perdurabilidad de la producción regional, junto son los cineclubs y otros agentes regionales (Lusnich & Campo, 2018).

The reopening of the Cinematography career at the UNLP (closed in 1978) in 1993 is the conclusion of a struggle of more than a decade from teachers and university actors coordinated by Professor Carlos Vallina. After the reopening the historical and aesthetic investigations —such as those of Vallina, Peña and Massari, Fabián or the MAP, among others— logically studies the period 1955-1978. However, the new career was over 25 years old and has a large number of audiovisual works that have not yet been analyzed. The possibility of constructing and systematizing categories for the analysis of a corpus that intersects art and education, and the proposal of stylistic lines of the period, configure the purpose of this research that is beginning.
