Posibles escenarios en el análisis del upgrading y governance de la cadena de soja

Abstract

En este trabajo, se presenta una descripción general de la cadena de soja y sus subproductos; para lo cual, se analizan las variables de la industria y su evolución en Argentina a partir del año 2014. Se exploran las dificultades de implementar procesos de upgrading para aprovechar las ventajas de generar valor a través de la producción de subproductos y su comercialización a partir de los cambios del contexto internacional bajo distintas hipótesis planteadas. Se reflexiona sobre la necesidad de adecuar las medidas de política económica del sector con el objetivo de incentivar el destino de los subproductos para la exportación, y promover el aumento del consumo interno de biodiesel, a partir del aumento del corte, de manera de generar incrementos en el valor en toda la cadena productiva.

In this paper, a general description of the soybean chain and its by-products is presented; for which, the variables of the industry and its evolution in Argentina are analyzed from 2014. The difficulties of implementing upgrading processes to take advantage of generating value through the production of by-products and their commercialization are explored of changes in the international context under different hypotheses. The need to adapt the economic policy measures of the sector is analyzed with the objective of encouraging the destination of the by-products for export, and promoting the increase of the domestic consumption of biodiesel, from the increase of the official blend rate, in order to generate increases in the value in the whole productive chain.
