Galaxias de tipo temprano en proceso de ensamblaje en el Universo Local

Abstract

Se presentan aquí resultados preliminares de un estudio de galaxias de apariencia temprana que constituyen ejemplos claros de fusiones en el Universo Local. Se intenta responder la pregunta de si estos objetos tendrán, luego de algunos miles de millones de años de evolución, características similares a las de galaxias elípticas masivas típicas. En este artículo se resaltan algunas diferencias entre NGC 5018 y las demás galaxias previamente estudiadas.

We presented here preliminary results from a study of several early-type galaxies which are clear examples of merger remanents in the Local Universe. In this project, an attempt is made to answer the question of whether these objects will have, after a few billion years of evolution, characteristics similar to those of typical massive elliptical galaxies. In this work some differences between NGC 5018 and the other galaxies previously studied are highlighted.
