Cebada "La Plata CAFPTA F. A.": nuevo cultivar muy resistente a la toxemia del pulgón verde de los cereales

Abstract

Se describe el método de selección utilizado para obtener el nuevo cultivar de cebada forrajera Hordeum vulgare var. pallidum «La Plata CAFPTA F. A.», muy resistente a la toxemia del pulgón verde los cereales. A partir de uu cruzamiento de «Omugi C. I. 5144» x «Bordenave Ranquelina MAG», se condujo el material segregante por el método genealógico, comprobando, en ensayos especiales con infestación artificial, la resistencia al pulgón verde en las progenies de las selectas. La última etapa, correspondiente a los ensayos comparativos de rendimiento, se condujo en la Estación Experimental Agropecuaria (INTA) Bordenave; se analizaron los resultados obtenidos, que se evaluaron, para solicitar su inscripción que fue aprobada por el Tribunal de Fiscalización de Semillas, con categoría «provisoria», en marzo de 1971. Se destacan las características morfológicas y cualidades más importantes del nuevo cultivar.

The selection method used to obtain the new cultivar of forage barley Hordeum vulgare var. pallidum "La Plata CAFPTA F. A.", high resistant to the "greenbug" toxemia is described. Starting from a cross of "Omugi C. J. 5144" x "Bordenave Ranquelina MAG", the segregant material was conducted by the genealogical method, verifying the resistance to the "green bug" toxemia on special test with artificial infestation. The comparative yield tests, were conducted in the Est. Exp. Agrop. (INTA) Bordenave ; the results obtained were analysed and evaluated to ask its registration as cultivar, approved by the Tribunal de Fiscalización de Semillas, in provisional category, on March 1971. The morphologycal characteristics and the most important qualities of the new cultivar are emphasized.
