The objective of this contribution is to expand the knowledge of the genus Idiostolus, from exo and endosomatic morphological characters of both male and female and meristic characters. The material used in this study consists of specimens collected in Ushuaia through pitfall, and specimens from the entomological collection of the Museum of La Plata. As result of this analysis a new species is described. Finally, we can conclude that it is necessary to collect more specimens, both males and females, to know better the genus, its trophic habits, and its association with Nothofagus, and as all activities on them, as well as natural and human promoted disturbances, could endanger organism and function conservation.
