Los tres mañanas del sistema agroalimentario: ejercicio de reflexión prospectiva para recrear agendas de investigación en agricultura familiar

Abstract

Los sistemas agroalimentarios son objeto de análisis prospectivos desde distintos centros de investigación y de diseño de políticas a nivel global. Este artículo propone indagar sobre los abordajes sobre los futuros posibles de los sistemas agroalimentarios, como insumo para recrear y repensar una agenda de investigación para la agricultura familiar o de pequeña escala en Argentina. La propuesta es plantear un diálogo entre las perspectivas de los estudios del futuro y agroalimentarios para nutrir la agenda de investigación y ejercitar y difundir una mirada anticipatoria en las investigaciones sobre la agricultura familiar y de pequeña escala. Analíticamente el trabajo se apoya en el método "los tres mañanas”, elaborado Sardar y Sweeney (2016), autores de la corriente crítica de los estudios del futuro. La metodología contempló la sistematización de antecedentes sobre prospectiva agroalimentaria y sobre la agricultura familiar, y la puesta en práctica de talleres con investigadores especialistas en la temática. A partir de la aplicación de los marcos de este método es posible reconocer desde qué interrogantes se parte para pensar el futuro, qué conocimientos se producen desde la investigación, cuáles son los campos impensados y cómo es posible desde aquí recrear una agenda sobre la agricultura familiar en el país.

Agri-food systems are the subject of foresight analyses from different research and policy design centers at the global level. This article proposes to investigate approaches to the possible futures of agrifood systems, as an input for recreating and rethinking a research agenda for family or small-scale agriculture in Argentina. The proposal is to propose a dialogue between the perspectives of future studies and agri-food studies to nourish the research agenda and to exercise and disseminate an anticipatory view in research on family and small-scale agriculture. Analytically, the work is based on the ‘three tomorrows’ method developed by Sardar and Sweeney (2016), authors of the critical future studies approach. The methodology includes the systematization of studies on agrifood and family farming futures, and the implementation of workshops with researchers specializing in these subjects. By applying the frameworks of this method, it is possible to identify the questions that serve as a starting point for thinking about the future, the knowledge produced by research, the unconsidered thoughts, and how it is possible to use this information to recreate an agenda for family farming in the country.
