Individualismo moral e indiferencia por el otro

Abstract

Una época ampliamente denominada post, donde la tensión entre la autorrealización personalísima y una convivencia posible es interrogada desde el pluralismo moral vigente. El presente trabajo se inicia en el dilema ético planteado en el film El hombre de al lado para avanzar en la reflexión sobre la necesidad de encontrar un justo medio, siempre conflictivo, entre la aspiración a una vida buena (lo que cada uno considera su felicidad) y lo imperativo de la norma (el deber que obliga a todos). La apelación al pensamiento ricoureano nos permite entender que la dimensión trágica de la acción está presente en todo acontecer humano y nos invita a deliberar sobre una articulación posible desde el principio de reciprocidad, entre la estima de sí y la solicitud por el otro siempre convocante.

An era which is widely known as ‘post’, where tension between very personal self-fulfillment and a possible coexistence, is questioned from the point of view of today’s moral pluralism. This work initiates in the ethical dilemma put forward in the film The Man Next-door, and goes on to reflect on the need to strike an always conflictive happy medium between aspirations of a good life (what each one considers to be their happiness) and the imperative of the norm (duty binds us all). Appealing to the thought of Paul Ricoeur allows us to understand that the tragic dimension of an action is present in every human event and it urges us to deliberate on a possible articulation of reciprocity between the esteem of the Self and attentiveness by the summoning Other.
