Un proyecto para la universidad

Abstract

En este trabajo abordamos cómo debatieron la cuestión universitaria los grupos porteños de estudiantes, docentes e intelectuales que se orientaron al peronismo de izquierda en el contexto del retorno de Juan Domingo Perón en 1972 y las elecciones presidenciales de 1973. En la primera parte, tomamos como referencia a la revista Envido para indagar si la creación de la Juventud Universitaria Peronista y la Agrupación Docente Universitaria Peronista trajo consigo la elaboración de una propuesta concreta para definir los fines, la estructura y la organización de las casas de estudio. Luego, examinamos la manera en que estas dos agrupaciones resignificaron la Reforma de 1918 y la experiencia universitaria del primer peronismo. Por último, analizamos cómo en 1972-1973 el peronismo de izquierda formó parte de una red más amplia de revistas, diarios, libros y editoriales en la cual un conjunto de actores de diverso signo diagnosticaba la crisis de la universidad argentina y sugería distintas recetas para solucionarla, sin prescindir de una mirada retrospectiva sobre la gesta reformista de principios de siglo XX.

In this paper we discuss how the university question debated the Buenos Aires groups of students, teachers and intellectuals that were oriented to left Peronism in the context of the return of Juan Domingo Perón in 1972 and the presidential elections of 1973. In the first part, we take as reference to Envido magazine to investígate whether the creation of the Peronist University Youth and the Peronist University Teaching Association brought about the elaboration of a concrete proposal to define the aims, structure and organization of the houses of study. Then, we examined the way in which these two groups resignified the Reform of 1918 and the university experience ofthe first Peronism. Finally, we analyze how in 1972-73 left Peronism waspart ofa wider network ofmagazines, newspapers, books and publishers in which a set of actors of different political signs diagnosed the crisis of the Argentine university and suggested different recipes to solve it, without disregarding a retrospective look at the reformist feat ofthe early twentieth century.
