Pobreza: medición y presencia en el Índice de Desarrollo Humano y en los Objetivos de Desarrollo del Milenio

Abstract

La discusión sobre el desarrollo y la pobreza ha estado históricamente vinculada. En ambas existe un capítulo dedicado a sus mediciones, asunto complejo debido a que se trata de realidades cruzadas por un amplio rango de vectores, lo que ha permitido el abuso y la manipulación pseudocientífica de los sistemas de medición. Conocerlos permite identificar hacia donde se orientan los focos de luz y cuáles son los conos de sombra que esa distribución lumínica genera. La presencia de la variable pobreza en la variable desarrollo y la aproximación que a la primera se hace en los ODMs son abordados en el presente trabajo.
