Para releer <i>Vigilar y castigar</i>: Nietzsche, el cuerpo y la prisión

Abstract

En este trabajo procuraremos brindar algunas herramientas para leer o releer <i>Vigilar y castigar</i> a partir de algunos aportes extraídos de la obra de Nietzsche, centrándonos fundamentalmente en el cuerpo y la prisión. Aunque en Foucault tanto uno como la otra están presentes, sus complejas características ya habían sido trabajadas por Nietzsche años antes. El cuerpo considerado como campo de batalla en el que se disputan su predominio el yo y el Sí-Mismo. Y la prisión definida, entre otras cosas, por su capacidad para conservar lo establecido en la cultura, lo que supone que es hacia dentro de esa misma cultura donde el combate por su abolición debe desarrollarse. En síntesis, ir de Foucault a Nietzsche para pensar dos cuestiones principales de la criminología: el cuerpo y la prisión.

In this paper we will intend to provide some tools to read or reread <i>Discipline and Punishment</i> taking into account some contributions from Nietzsche's work, focusing mainly on the body and the prison. Although in Foucault both of these are present, their complex characteristics had already been worked by Nietzsche years earlier. The body, considered as a battlefield in which the I and the self dispute its dominance. And the prison defined, among other things, by its ability to retain what is established in the culture, which is supposed to develop the combat for abolition within that culture. In short, we will intend to go from Foucault to Nietzsche to think about two main issues in criminology: the body and the prison.
