Militar el ambiente es justicia social: la Especialización en Comunicación y Ambiente

Abstract

En la presente ponencia se realizará un breve recorrido sobre la creación y los lineamientos de la Especialización en Comunicación y Ambiente de la Facultad de Periodismo y Comunicación Social de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata (en adelante, la ESPECIALIZACIÓN), en consonancia con el contexto. Asimismo, se desarrollará el posicionamiento respecto de la mirada socioambiental en donde el compromiso y la militancia juegan un papel crucial. En este sentido, se manifiesta la postura tomada por el equipo docente/ investigador en relación al abordaje de lo socioambiental, desde una mirada analítica, integral y crítica respecto a la importancia de la comunicación como vehículo transformador de la realidad. Asimismo, se considera clave el rol de les comunicadores ambientales, al igual que resaltar el compromiso de la educación pública como sostén y garantía de espacios académicos al servicio de la comunidad.

In this paper, a brief overview will be made of the creation and guidelines of the Specialization in Communication and Environment of the Faculty of Journalism and Social Communication of the National University of La Plata (hereinafter, the SPECIALIZATION), in accordance with the context. Likewise, the position will be developed with respect to the socio-environmental perspective where commitment and activism play a crucial role. In this sense, the position taken by the teaching/research team in relation to the socio-environmental approach is manifested, from an analytical, comprehensive and critical perspective regarding the importance of communication as a transforming vehicle of reality. Likewise, the role of environmental communicators is considered key, as well as highlighting the commitment of public education as a support and guarantee of academic spaces at the service of the community.
