Based on a succinct approach to each of the chapters that make up the work, with their respective thematic areas, the aim is to draw up a theoretical map that provides details on this way of approaching lesbian history and to identify its main contributions. To this end, it examines the methodological problem of the applicability of contemporary categories of gender identity and sexuality to discuss the history of affection between women in different periods of Western history. In this sense, this work seeks to understand how women have perceived the bonds between them throughout history, producing rituals, icons, images, representations, and expressions of gender that reflect the variety of experiences and forms of resistance that were developed. Finally, the review outlines concluding considerations on the contributions and relevance of this work as a whole to the field of lesbian history.

English medievalists and economic history
Sociedades Precapitalistas; vol.15
De manera secundaria, se reseña la evolución del medievalismo francés.; This paper analyzes English medievalism on economics from the post-World War II period to the present day. Its origins after 1945 are reviewed, as are its theories and its relationship with classical economics, with the political context, and with the micro-environments in which it developed. At that time, the study was focused on the cycles of demographics and agriculture, on the one hand, and on class relations and class struggles, on the other. Dobb, Postan, and Hilton then stood out. Beginning in the 1990s, with Epstein and Britnell, the market factor came to the fore, and the prevailing themes and explanations, including the contributions of economic anthropology, were abandoned. This revisionism includes uneven development, dismissed as a problem by Bartlett. Analyses inspired by Malthus, Ricardo, and Marx were replaced by others inspired by the New Economic Institutionalism and the neoclassical orthodoxy. The relationship of this approach to authors such as Robert Brenner is discussed. The work of Wickham, the most influential Marxist medievalist of this century, is central to the examination. Secondarily, the evolution of French medievalism is reviewed.

This essay aims to provide a bibliographical commentary on the recent collective work edited by Marco Cavina, L'università davanti alla stregoneria in Europa tra Medioevo ed Età Moderna. A brief historiographical analysis contextualizes the work and outlines a synthesis of the main lines of research that have been developed thus far on the links between universities and the persecution of witchcraft in Europe from the XVth to the XVIIIth centuries. It then offers a succinct analysis of the essays that comprise this book and presents some final considerations on the contributions and relevance of this work as a whole.

This work proposes a historiographical reflection on the nature and governing logic of colonial haciendas in the Andean region, revisiting arguments put forth in previous discussions on the mode of production in the Americas. The colonial order is interpreted as part of a broader, global transition, within which European "primitive accumulation" is also framed. The emergence of Andean haciendas is studied through the notion of "hybridity" as proposed by Jairus Banaji for the study of the emergence of agrarian capitalism. Special attention is given to the decisive role played by an internal market articulated around silver production in Potosí (oriented towards export). Colonial haciendas are understood as "hybrid" enterprises, governed by an incipient capitalist logic despite the pre-modern nature of their labor regimes. Lastly, the foundations of the trend of colonial capitalism towards less coercive labor practices are analyzed.

Leather Craftsmanship in Castelló de la Plana (1385-1527)
Sociedades Precapitalistas; vol. 14
e municipal archive preserves good records, pecha tax books, inscriptions of assets from the court of justice, purchase and sale records and other documents that prove the growth of the leather industry in the 14th-16th centuries. The prosopographic study carried out from the contrast of all these sources has made it possible to identify more than a hundred artisans involved in this artisanal sector, a minority of whom managed to increase their properties with real estate, land and other assets detailed here.

The town of Castelló de la Plana had a population that oscillated between a maximum of 1,110 taxed households in 1350 and a minimum of 470 in 1511. And what is more interesting, some of them held the most important positions in the municipal government such as the Miró, Mas and Pasqual.</dc:description>

"Ad terrorem aliorum et utilitatem publicam": inquisitorial courts and the punitive destruction of heretics' houses
Sociedades Precapitalistas; vol. 14
This paper looks at the destruction of houses as a method employed by inquisitorial courts, first in the Middle Ages, then during the modern age, to punish the most dangerous heretics after their conviction at the stake. After tracing the legal foundations in Roman law (Lex Quisquis, Lex Iulia Maiestatis), medieval and modern normative and jurisprudential sources are highlighted: in particular some conciliar dictates (Toulouse, Béziers), and the precepts found in inquisitorial and anti-heretical manuals and treatises. Once the theoretical framework has been described, the essay goes on to examine concrete cases, analysing a number of episodes of punitive executions carried out by Spanish (Seville, Valladolid, Madrid), Portuguese (Coimbra - Lisbon) and Roman (Faenza - Imola, Venice, San Sisto) inquisitorial courts. Overall, the analysis reveals a close link between this practice and the confiscation of the heretic's property. At the same time it is also clear that the inquisitors attempted to eternalise their convictions, cutting out any possibility of rehabilitating the public memory of the condemned.

The Roman Inquisition at the heart of society. The employees of the ecclesiastical court between privileges, conflicts, and indiscipline (16th-18th centuries)

This essay aims to investigate a subject hitherto neglected by historians, namely the extensive and problematic personnel that served the Roman Inquisition in Italy and the tribunals of faith operating elsewhere over three centuries. The methodology used is twofold, drawing on both religiousinstitutional and social-historical studies. The extensive documentary research carried out in the Vatican and Italian archives has made it possible to reconstruct the main features of the Italian Inquisitorial staff, to observe its evolution over time, its different geographical locations and the varying relations that the papal Church established through it with the cultural and political elites of Italy during the Ancien Régime.
This has led to important historical considerations that highlight a phenomenon that has been studied on other fronts, such as the relations between the Counter-Reformation Church and the faithful between the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries. The clientelist system allowed the most intransigent wing of the Church to establish a relationship of protection and acquiescence with thousands of violent notables. They, in return, guaranteed intellectual, material, and political support to the ecclesiastical hierarchies of the peninsula until the Italian Risorgimento.

The article proposes a review of the problem of premodern wage relations and its relationship with the transition from feudalism to capitalism. Spell 222 of Pyramid Texts as “dialogic” liturgy
Sociedades Precapitalistas; vol. 13
The variety of liturgies that make up the Pyramid Texts converges in ensuring the ingress of the pharaoh into the corporation of the gods. The so-called sacerdotal texts, among which is the sequence PT 213-222, is part of the so-called Resurrection Ritual Group, which complemented the materiality of regeneration (food and drink, weapons, clothes, standards, etc.). In these resurrection texts it was the ritualistic priests who mediated at the behest of Pharaoh, which is why they are expressed in the third person. The particular case of PT 222 implies an alternation between the second and third persons on whom the priest officiates the liturgy. Although PT 222 is part of a larger liturgy, it is the only statement of the whole in which this “dialogical” relationship is established in the midst of a preparatory priestly introduction and an ascent and union with the sun god. An analysis of this particular utterance is what we propose in this article.

An analysis of this particular utterance is what we propose in this article.</dc:description>

Feudal rent as a relation of domination. Notes on the obligation of giving lodging and supplies to the lordly entourage
Sociedades Precapitalistas; vol. 13
The aim of this contribution is to reflect on the feudal rent as a relation of domination which extends its influence over diverse aspects of the existence of direct producers and over their social forms. By taking as a point of departure the classical Marxist approaches to the feudal rent, we will analyse the obligation of giving lodging and supplies to the itinerant royal and seigneurial household and court, as well as the costs in terms of conditions of life of local inhabitants. The contents and effects of these burdens will be considered together with specific forms of coercion and struggle against rent. Feudal rent is treated as an act of power which spreads beyond the economic sphere.
