A new member of the family Pertaspermaceae townrow in the triassic of Argentina: the genus Scytophyllum Bornemann 1856
Revista del Museo de La Plata. Nueva serie; vol. 9, no. 54, sección Paleontología
Townrow - L. stormbergensis (Seward) Townrow - Scytophyllum.; Fronds assignable to the species Scytophyllum neuburgianum Dobruskina 1969 included in the Family Pertaspermaceae are described for the First time for Argentina. The material allowed the reconstruction of the frond and phylogenetic inferences through the study of foliar morphology and architecture are made. It is suggested that Scytophyllum could be related to the genus Lepidopteris Schimper. The transformation that followed the intercalar pinnules and pinnae, indicates that acceleration and retardation processes took place in these taxa. On these basis a semoplulesis was outlined: Lepidopteris martinsii (Kurtze) Townrow - L. madagascariensis Carpentier em. Townrow - L. stormbergensis (Seward) Townrow - Scytophyllmn.

A new cranial remain ol' a largc Ctcnomyinae from ihe Enscnadan (Earlv-Middle Plcistocene) ofthe Nccochea cliffs betwcen Costa Bonita and Puerto Quequcn (Buenos Aires Province), is describcd. The remain is assigncd to "Megactenomys'’ kraglievichi Rusconi, 1930. The revisión ofthe characters preserved in the holotype. and thc additional information given by the new material, demónstrate that this speeies is related to the extant tuco-tucos, so that it is transferred to the genus Ctenomys.
