A sample of 88 (45 frmale and 43 nales) adults and subadults toads of Bufo arenarum has been collected in Buenos Aires province, Argentina. There has been studied the age and increments in growth by the squeletochronological method in the subdistal phalange of the third finger from the hand. Statistical regression analysis (linear and power models) were perfomed. These studys showed that: a) snowt-vent (total lenght, LT=y) and head width (AC=y) have a strong positive correlation to the estimate age (number of LAC present in the bone; E=x). The power model shows the best fitting to the female data and the linear model provide good fits to the male data. All correlation coefficients are statistically significant at 0,01 probability level. b) The equation of von Bertalanffy was fitted to the data (LT; AC): Males growth showed a weak fitting to von Bertalanffy. Female corporal growth (LT and AC) showed the best fitting to von Bertalanffy equation. It can be used 90-110 mm as the length at sexual maturity (or sexual maturity size). c) The endosteal resorption begings before males rearch the sexual maturuty (E IV). In the females the endosteal resorption starts after the sexual maturity (E V). d) The third LAC could be compleyely resorbed at E VI.

The use of time and space was analized in a population Teius aculattus. Using the mark-recapture method daily and seasonal activity was studied. Sustrate, cloacal and air temperatures were registered. Home range was measured for three males, three females, two juveniles and one hatching using the convex poligone method. Our conclutions are that time and space are used acording to the trofic strategy of this species (widely foraging) and the thermic parameters are similar to other teids species

Using the mark-recapture method a population of Teius oculatus was studied during four month (dic. 2/1987-march 22/1988). The poblational density was measured, age groups were defined the anual cycle was described and the individual daily growth was calculated to test differences between age groups and the posible correlations between growth and individual snout vent length. Density was different for each period, the age groups were three: hatching juveniles and adults, with change during the active period, being hatching the last in retiring. Individual growth rate changed for each age group and growth and snout vent length are negatively correlated.

The Bidder's organ (BO) differentiation takes place at stage 25 (stages; Echeverría et al., 1981). Oogonia and young oocytes (a and b) are placed at BO periphery. During the larval period the BO grows faster than the pregonad (=previous gonad), until the metamorphosis period occurs. On young toads (from one to three years) and on adult male toads (fourth year) the BO shows celular seasonal cycles. The celular cycles shows to steps: a) partial oogenesis in the peripherical surface with prolific and development celular process (proliferation and growth) of the oogonias and small oocytes. b) Development of the oocytes inside the organ: development up to their hypertrophy that finish in degeneration of the oldest oocytes. After that, the empty and atresic folicles take place. There is a comparision between the male and female BO development in young toads
