<title>La matriz de accesibilidad y la optimización en los modelos de localización</title>
<link>http://sedici.unlp.edu.ar:80/handle/10915/8960</link>
<description>Articulo
Económica; vol. 13, no. 40
A method is proposed for determining the optimal location for an industrial park, namely the method of minimal squares applied to the differences in accessibility and population in relation to the entire region of influence. On working out a concrete case through a computer, the total obtained coincides with known results.

<title>El liderazgo del mundo y América Latina</title>
<link>http://sedici.unlp.edu.ar:80/handle/10915/8959</link>
<description>Articulo
Económica; vol. 13, no. 40
This deals with the very up-to-date theme of the change in world leadership and its consequences in the under-development countries. The basic thesis belongs to Prof. Dr. Wilhelm FUCKS, who recently wrote a paper on the outcome of population, economy and potentials as foreseen for the year 2040. Hence, the population, the production of food, energy and steel, are the bases for determining the potential of a country. Therefore those countries that have a big population with a poor industrial development will play no part on the international stage with relation to the potential of power. The meaning of this sentence when inverted is also valid. To this must be added the building-up of atomic power, and the modern chemical-biological arms. Then, as the industrial countries grow and become progressively richer, those which are agricultural will become more and more dependent on outside trade. Here, then, are the fundamental consequences facing the under-developed countries in particular Latin America.

<title>La ley del óptimo técnico</title>

<description>Articulo
Económica; vol. 13, no. 40
The object of this article is to study the so-called Law of the Optimum Technician in relation to the continuous function of production. We presume that the production function is defined by the dimension interval of n ai&lt;= vi &lt;=bi, with ai&gt;0, i=1,...,n where partial first continuous derivates are allowed, but the existence of partial second derivatives are not sought. We presume that marginal productivity x'i (vi) is first a positive monotony, increasing until it reaches a maximum, after which it is a decreasing monotony until it reaches a minimum of negative value, to later become an increasing negative monotony. Based on this we analytically deduce that the medium productivity curve xi(vi) in the different cases which may arise finally brings us to the needed condition, sufficient to fulfill the Law of the optimum technician. This is followed by a geometric interpretation of the question, and concludes by considering the special case of ai= 0.

<title>El espíritu empresario y la teoría de la decisión en la empresa</title>
<link>http://sedici.unlp.edu.ar:80/handle/10915/8957</link>
<description>Articulo
Económica; vol. 13, no. 40
The author separates the raison d'être of an enterprise from motivations of the type of manager inclined to assigning maximum importance to objectives involving decision making risks. He sustains the existence, in business decision making, of an inescapable important proportion of personality factor, present even in the choice of rules, to the extreme extent of so-called gambling decisions. He recalls the decisional system expounded by BROSS, emphasizing his forthright consideration of the criterion of decision-making, as opposed to its omission in the theorem of RÍOS GARCÍA who limits the problem to purely mathematical grounds thus mutilating the process of decision-making insofar as it relates to business, for which reason the respective problem is reformulated. He finally delineates the motive and consequences of the different conceptions in regard to their final place, within the executive factor, of the role of a decision maker in the ultimate instance, vis-a-vis a self- motivated bureaucracy sustaining the compromising theses of the impossibility of its elimination due to absence, or its substitution by a political entrepreneur, according to the system involved.
