"Juventus" y la generación del 49: consideraciones sobre un periódico estudiantil

Abstract

El periódico "Juventus" pretendió ser un órgano periodístico cultural de alcance nacional producido y escrito por estudiantes para la misma juventud estudiantil. Como tal, dio cuenta de los intereses de los jóvenes provenientes de las tres Escuelas Nacionales de Bellas Artes, así como de otras instituciones formadoras. El objetivo de este trabajo es reconstruir su contexto de creación y la apuesta de la publicación. Para ello, se estudiará el contenido de sus páginas y se identificarán las principales ideas estéticas que reproduce, considerando el recorte operado entre tradiciones artísticas y el apoyo oficial que recibió. En este sentido, se analizarán las elecciones discursivas y plásticas que allí se hicieron y el modo en que el periódico piensa su intervención en la esfera pública como propuesta cultural.

The Juventus newspaper intended to be a national cultural journalistic body produced and written by students for the same student youth, as such it gave an account of the interests of young people from the three National Schools of Fine Arts, as well as other educational institutions. The aim of this work is to reconstruct its creation context and the commitment of the publication, analyzing the content of its pages and identifying the main aesthetic ideas that it reproduces, considering the cut operated between artistic traditions and the official support it received. In this sense, the discursive and plastic choices that were made there will be analyzed, and the way in which the newspaper thinks about its intervention in the public sphere as a cultural proposal.
