This study aimed to compare the photogenerated current of a multijunction solar cell (MJ) with experimental short circuit current measurements to validate equivalence between them and to define the junction responsible for limiting the electrical current established in cell from evaluation of the ratio between the currents generated (rc) for the top and intermediate junctions. Spectral measurements were performed by a spectroradiometer between 300 nm and 1050 nm. MJ solar cell used on experiments has three junctions composed of indium gallium phosphide, indium gallium arsenide and germanium (Ge). Through irradiance measurements, it was observed that methodology used to compare the behavior of the photogenerated current circuit valid the equivalence of these parameter. Furthermore, sets the intermediate junction InGaAs subcell as limiting the generation of current to spectra obtained, as in all measures rc > 1.
