The eulerian similarity or Monin-Obukhov’s hypothesis applied to n stationary flow over smooth and uniform surface (geometrically an thermically) constitutes the fundamental basics of the recent studies about the structure of the turbulence of the atmospheric surface layer.
Three different methods including assumptions and restrictions lea ding to the formulation of that hypothesis are described here.
The procedures are the following: a) the Reynolds number similarity, b) the energetic balance, c) statistic analysis.
The description of these procedures helps to show the restrictions and the physical interpretation of the process, finding no reason to consider any of them as especially preferable.
