The advances that the LGBT and feminist movements have been carrying out in recent years, find among their references Judith Butler, one of the thinkers that is most relevant in the subject. Among her many contributions, the author takes up the notion of Austin's ilocutive acts to place that gender is a fiction, a performative effect of repeated acts without an original or an essence (Sáez, 2004).
In this paper we will address, on the one hand, the Butlerian proposal of the concept of performativity and the reading that can be made of said concept from psychoanalysis, emphasizing the reading of Javier Sáez, in “Queer Theory and Psychoanalysis” (Sáez, 2004).
