We propose to analyze the scope and independence of the discipline of theatrical improvisation in the River Plate area, in relation to other world centers of this activity.
We understand that, thanks to the work of different interpreters and companies, foreign influences and models (specifically from Canada and France) were disregarded in favor of formats and own resources, in many cases adapted, created or rediscovered from the perspectives and particular needs region of. The aim is to substantiate these local characteristics, understanding them in terms of an active appropriation that redefines and appropriates the original versions so that the result cannot be considered tributary or subordinate to them. In the specific case of the show Improvisation Match, the first and most widespread reference for this type of stage proposal, a tour is detailed that includes its export from North America and Europe to the city of Buenos Aires, and eventually to the capital of the homonymous province.
