We present preliminary results of the chemical analyisis of 6 star clusters in the inner region of the Small Magellanic Cloud. We used near infrared spectra in the Calcium Triplet region of red giants in the clusters obtained with the instrument GMOS of GEMINI-South.
We measured the radial velocity and the equivalent widths of the three lines from which we determined the clusters mean radial velocity and metallicity. Adding these results to the information available in the literature for star clusters studied with the same technique, we found that the metallicity distribution could be bimodal in the inner region of the galaxy.
