The District of General Pueyrredon, in terms of its main attraction, is associated with the massive sun and beach tourism model. Among the minor coastal settlements of the district is Chapadmalal, which has gained importance in the post-pandemic period. From the socio-cultural dimension of tourism and under the qualitative approach, a descriptive and interpretive study is carried out, in order to know the imaginaries and social practices of the neighbors, as well as their visions about the possibility of an alternative tourist development from the conceptual proposals of the dimensions of the neighborhood (Gravano) and territories (Bozzano). The data collection was carried out with the participatory workshop technique. As a result, it is possible to show that, in both neighborhoods, identities are identified according to the relationships that neighbors establish among themselves and with the environment. Regarding tourism, the possibility of alternative proposals emerges from the participation of the community in which, beyond the beach, it is possible to make known those material and symbolic goods that make up the neighborhood identities.
