Estudio experimental sobre injerto de glándula tiroides

Abstract

Hemos realizado, en ,el perro, tres autotransplantes de glándulas tiroides y tres homoinjertos. Estos últimos se efectuaron previa “aclimatación biológica” mediante pasaje por medio de cultivo de Carrel y suero del receptor. De tres a cuatro meses después, el control histológico fué negativo por reabsorción de los transplantes, pero los animales no presentaron síntomas de insuficiencia tiroidea a pesar de que la tiroidectomía fué más amplia que en los primeros, en los cuales no se hizo examen histológico. Se hacen consideraciones sobre procedimientos de “asimilación previa”, con miras a la cirugía endocrina de la insuficiencia tiroidea grave y rebelde. Además del procedimiento realizado en el presente trabajo, se considera teóricamente, la posibilidad de hominjertos en individuos humoralmente compatibles.

We have done, in dogs, 3 autotransplantations of the thyroid gland and 3 homoplasties. These last were done previous “biological acclimation” by means of a passage of Carrel’s culture media and the receiver’s serum. After 3 o 4 months, the histological control was negative by the reabsorption of the transplantations but the animals didn’t present any symptom of thyroid insufficiency although the thyroidectomy was larger than in the first ones, in which we havn’t done the histological examination. He refers to the methods of “previous assimilation” with regard to endocrine surgery of the severe and rebellious thyroid insufficiency. Besides the method fulfilled in the present work, we considerer theorically, the possibility of homoplasties in humoral compatibly patients.
