Estudios con GPR y EMI en el sitio histórico Vuelta de Obligado

Abstract

Se presenta una serie de resultados correspondientes a los primeros estudios geofı́sicos realizados en el sitio histórico Vuelta de Obligado, donde en 1845 tuvo lugar la conocida batalla entre tropas de la Confederación Argentina y una alianza entre Francia e Inglaterra que pretendı́a controlar la navegación de los rı́os sudamericanos con el objetivo de imponer el libre comercio. El objetivo principal de los estudios realizados hasta el momento ha sido sondear distintos sectores del sitio en búsqueda de remanentes de estructuras históricas tales como basamentos, trincheras, terraplenes, enterratorios, etc.

In this work, we present results of the first geophysical studies carried out at the historical site Vuelta de Obligado, where in 1845 the well-known battle took place between troops of the Argentine Confederation and an alliance between France and England, which sought to control the navigation of the South American rivers with the aim of imposing free trade. The main objective of the studies carried out so far has been to explore different sectors of the site in search of remnants of historical structures such as basements, trenches, embankments, burials, etc.
