The dust present in galactic nuclei is, according to the unified model for active galactic nuclei (AGN), the responsible for the different characteristics displayed by these objects. It is of fundamental importance to study and characterize the geometry and physical state of the dust in nuclear regions in order to deepen this largely accepted paradigm. We are using Kiong spectra taken with Flamingos-2 at Gemini South in order to determine the temperature and extension of the nuclear hot dust (1000-1900 K) in nearby AGNs (D<100 Mpc). In this work we present temperature measurements of the nuclear dust for NGC 4945. The derived temperatures inside a 100 pc radius oscilate between 1300 and 2000 K. This result points to a nuclear dust geometry where the UV photons emitted by the accretion disk are able to heat the dust at great distances from the nucleus.
