The behaviour in different cultural media is described and also the raction on other plant host, such as Celosia sp., Iresine sp., Citrus limón, and apple fruits, the results being negative.
The cultural characters and its behaviour on other hosts let us to consider it as a new variety which we propose to ñame Colletotrichum gloeosporioides var. gomphrenae nov. var.
