When we search for a solution of a problem employing an evolutionary computation, information of a geometry of fitness landscape is sometimes very helpful. What does the fitness landscape look like? How many global peaks are there in the fitness landscape? Do Local peaks exist? How does the shape of these peaks look? To study these issues, we propose a simple technique of learning a shape of a peak in the fitness landscape by observing a cross-section of the peak by a hyperplane.
