With the advent of digital technology permeating every dimension of our existence, visuality acquires special relevance. In a sense, the «content» of the image becomes digital. The question I propose here is this: when it comes to the hegemonic regime of digital technology in everyday life, what is the nature of the relationship between images and the content they represent? Do images relate to our experience, or do they originate from the interface? If digital technology not only serves as a medium for the information that we receive about the world, but also produces a computerization of reality, is the horizon of meaning inherent in the notion of culture thus compromised?
