La Vuelta del Malón: representación del rapto de la cautiva

Abstract

En este trabajo de investigación de corte historiográfico, se recapituló la recepción que recibió en la sociedad porteña, el lienzo La Vuelta del Malón (1892) de Ángel Della Valle. Se rescataron fragmentos de obras literarias, argumentos y críticas escritas por referentes de las Bellas Artes, publicadas en distintos medios de la época, priorizando el detalle de la cautiva en brazos del cacique. Resignificando la escena del rapto, tratándose de una fuga concretada por un hombre y una mujer pertenecientes a distintos mundos.

In this historiographical research work, we recapitulated the reception received by the Buenos Aires society of the canvas La Vuelta del Malón (1892) by Ángel Della Valle. Fragments of literary works, arguments and critiques written by referents of the Fine Arts, published in different media of the time, were rescued, prioritizing the detail of the captive in the arms of the chief. Redefining the scene of the abduction as an escape carried out by a man and a woman belonging to different worlds.
