Además, ofrece una perspectiva del funcionamiento de las "transacciones" en blockchain, que permiten a los donantes rastrear el uso de sus contribuciones, lo cual refuerza su confianza. Se presentan casos de organizaciones, como Bitgive Foundation y Khan Academy, que han implementado criptomonedas en sus procesos de donación, demostrando su éxito en este ámbito. Además, se analiza el potencial de los tokens en ICOs y STOs como métodos innovadores de recaudación de fondos, que resultan atractivos tanto para donantes como para inversores, abriendo nuevas oportunidades en el sector de las ONG.

The essay provides an overview of the impact of blockchain technology on fundraising for NGOs, highlighting how this tool can improve transparency and security in the management of donations. In addition, it offers an overview of how blockchain transactions work, allowing donors to track the use of their contributions, thereby strengthening their trust. Cases of organizations such as Bitgive Foundation and Khan Academy are presented, both of which have implemented cryptocurrencies in their donation processes, demonstrating success in this area. Furthermore, the potential of tokens in ICOs and STOs is analyzed as innovative fundraising methods that appeal to both donors and investors, opening new opportunities in the NGO sector.
