El paisaje lingüístico interior del Ministerio de Economía de la Nación: una construcción de espacio e identidad

Abstract

El objetivo del presente trabajo es analizar el paisaje lingüístico interior del Ministerio de Economía de la Nación de la República Argentina. A partir de dicho estudio, se pretenderá determinar cómo se configura la identidad institucional y la de los empleados y gremios que componen este organismo. Mediante la investigación del uso del espacio como medio para la concreción de la comunicación y como posicionamiento que delimita un territorio propio, junto con el análisis de rasgos funcionales de las expresiones lingüísticas empleadas, se buscará ver cómo se organizan jerárquicamente los diferentes roles y funciones que allí se desempeñan, lo cual configura las identidades de cada uno de los participantes de esta interacción. Para ello, como objeto de análisis, se han tomado las expresiones lingüísticas plasmadas en la cartelería exhibida a lo largo del interior del edificio. Su registro se realizó mediante la toma de fotografías durante el período que se extiende entre marzo y mayo de 2023. La presente investigación asume un enfoque cualitativo y se propone un alcance de corte exploratorio, descriptivo y sincrónico. El análisis que se desarrollará en este trabajo se enmarca en la Sociolingüística y su estudio del paisaje lingüístico, con algunos aportes de otros campos teóricos de la lingüística funcionalista, y procurará explicar cómo el discurso da lugar, por un lado, a una delimitación espacial, y, por el otro, a un acto realizativo de tres identidades diferentes: la institucional, la trabajadora y la sindical.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the internal linguistic landscape of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Argentina. Based on such investigation, the intention is to determine how the identity of this agency as well as that of employees and working unions is shaped. By exploring the use of space as a means for the realization of communication and as a positioning delimiting a territory of one’s own, together with the analysis of the functional traits displayed by the linguistic expressions exhibited, the aim is to see how different roles and responsibilities are hierarchically organized, which ultimately builds the identities of each participant in this institutional interaction. To do so, the signage exhibited inside the building was taken as research subject matter. These were recorded by taking photographs during the period extending between March and May of the year 2023. This investigation assumes a qualitative approach and has an exploratory, descriptive and synchronic scope. The analysis to be developed in this paper falls within the scope of Sociolinguistics and its study of linguistic landscape, together with certain contributions from other theoretical frameworks of functional linguistics, and it will seek to explain how discourse gives rise, on the one hand, to a spatial delimitation, and, on the other hand, to an act of realization of three different identities: first, the institutional one; second, the union one; and third, the working one.
