Abstract

Introducción: El análisis de la maduración esqueletal es esencial en ortodoncia para determinar el momento ideal de intervención durante el crecimiento. Este estudio compara la maduración esqueletal de dos pacientes de igual edad cronológica, uno masculino y otro femenino, utilizando el método de Baccetti, basado en el análisis de las vértebras cervicales. Objetivo general: Comparar la maduración esqueletal de un paciente masculino y uno femenino de igual edad cronológica utilizando el método de Baccetti. Objetivos específicos: Identificar el estadio de maduración esqueletal en cada paciente según los criterios del método de Baccetti.

Introduction: The analysis of skeletal maturation is essential in orthodontics to determine the ideal moment ofintervention during growth. This study compares the skeletal maturation of two patients of the same chronological age, one male and the other female, using the Baccetti method, based on the analysis of the cervical vertebrae. General objective: Compare the skeletal maturation of a male and a female patient of the same chronological age using the Baccetti method. Specific objectives: Identify the stage of skeletal maturation in each patient according to the criteria of the Baccetti method.
