Comunicación efectiva para un cuidado odontológico integral

Abstract

Introducción: La atención odontológica actual se orienta hacia un enfoque integral donde la comunicación empática es esencial para generar confianza y seguridad en el paciente. El trabajo coordinado entre odontólogo y asistente dental favorece una atención organizada, humanizada y efectiva, disminuyendo la ansiedad y mejorando la experiencia clínica. Objetivos: Favorecer la confianza y reducir el miedo del paciente mediante un trato respetuoso. Consolidar el trabajo en equipo entre odontólogo y asistente. Aplicar estrategias de comunicación clara en todas las etapas del tratamiento. Fortalecer el vínculo profesional-paciente para mejorar la adherencia terapéutica.

Introduction: Current dental care is oriented toward a comprehensive approach in which empathetic communication is essential to generate trust and security in the patient. Coordinated work between the dentist and the dental assistant promotes organized, humanized, and effective care, reducing anxiety and improving the clinical experience. Objectives: To promote patient confidence and reduce fear through respectful interaction. To strengthen teamwork between dentist and dental assistant. To apply clear communication strategies in all stages of treatment. To reinforce the professional–patient relationship in order to improve treatment adherence.
