Tono y agonística

Abstract

El artículo se centra en los elementos paralingüísticos presentes en la comunicación política y remarca su relevancia en un escenario de crisis mundial. Así, se entiende que el tono, la melodía, el énfasis, el timbre, el ritmo, las pausas o el volumen sirven para resaltar la intencionalidad de las palabras y también para mitigar la potencia, según las circunstancias. En lo que refiere al discurso del ministro de Economía de la Argentina, Martín Guzmán, ese aspecto paraverbal juega un rol preponderante a la hora de marcar medidas y/o leyes que interpelan a estratos pudientes de la sociedad. En contexto de pandemia y presencia imperante de la deuda externa, el funcionario modaliza el discurso y la entonación a fin de profundizar la concertación y la apelación a la unidad fomentada por el presidente Alberto Fernández. En cuanto al repertorio teórico, el texto incluye la perspectiva de la política agonista planteada por Chantal Mouffe y recupera nociones vinculadas al estudio del discurso de Anna de Fina y el paralingüismo marcado por John Lyons. En términos metodológicos, integra un corpus breve de entrevistas audiovisuales o radiales, y conferencias brindadas por Guzmán, a fin de relevar la articulación verbal y paraverbal que presenta en sus expresiones. El objetivo del trabajo consiste en analizar el despliegue de la prosodia en el discurso del ministro de Economía y advertir la construcción de consenso, negociación considerada con los acreedores externos y retórica de contención social que expone en su distribución tonal de pausa, ritmo y enunciación.

The article focuses on the paralinguistic elements present in political communication and highlights its projection of relevance in a world crisis scenario. Thus, it is understood that the tone, the melody, the emphasis, the timbre, the rhythm, the pauses or the volume serve to highlight the intentionality of the words and also to mitigate the power, depending on the circumstances. In what refers to the speech of the Argentine Minister of Economy, MartÃín Guzmán, this paraverbal aspect plays a preponderant role when it comes to marking measures and / or laws that challenge wealthy strata of society. In the context of a pandemic and the prevailing presence of foreign debt, the official modalizes the speech and intonation in order to deepen the agreement and appeal to the unity promoted by President Alberto Fernández. As for the theoretical repertoire, the text includes the perspective of the agonist policy proposed by Chantal Mouffe and recovers notions linked to the study of Anna de Fina's discourse and the paralinguism marked by John Lyons. In methodological terms, it integrates a short corpus of audiovisual or radio interviews, and conferences given by Guzmán, in order to reveal the verbal and paraverbal articulation that he presents in his expressions. The objective of the work is to analyze the deployment of prosody in the speech of the Minister of Economy and note the construction of consensus, negotiation considered with external creditors and rhetoric of social contention that exposes in its tonal distribution of pause, rhythm and enunciation.
