Una tarea ambiciosa: teatro, cine y narración según Mariano Pensotti

Abstract

Los intercambios entre teatro y cine encuentran en el trabajo de Mariano Pensotti un espacio de reflexión y producción de particular interés. A estos cruces se suma, igualmente, una constante exploración de la literatura moderna y de las ficciones en torno a las historias de vida. Este trabajo se propone, por un lado, estudiar las posibilidades abiertas por un diálogo a tres voces: teatro, cine y narración. Por otro lado, plantea la siguiente hipótesis: si el teatro de Pensotti gira en torno a unos personajes asediados por la imagen de los otros o por las propias fantasías de ser otro, también trata sobre las peripecias de un teatro que, en el espejo de otros lenguajes, imagina las variaciones de su propia forma.

The exchanges between theatre and cinema find in Mariano Pensotti's work a space of reflection and production of particular interest. To these crossings, we must equally add a constant exploration of modern literature and fictions about life´s stories. This paper aims to study the possibilities opened by a dialog between three voices: theatre, cinema and narration. It also raises the following hypothesis: if Pensotti's theatre deals with characters besieged by the image of others or by their own fantasies of being others, in a second level, it also deals with the adventures of a theatre that, in the mirror of other languages, imagines the variations of its own form.
