El margen, la violencia y sus fronteras

Abstract

En este artículo analizo crónicas y fotografías publicadas en los diarios Clarín y La Nación que representan a la figura del joven, varón y pobre y a los territorios que habitan en relación a la violencia durante el período 2004 – 2014. Para ello, parto de una perspectiva metodológica que realiza un cruce analítico entre antropología, semiótica y análisis cultural. Entre los resultados de esta investigación se encuentran la deconstrucción del lugar de enunciación desde donde se muestran a estos sujetos y territorios, la identificación de metáforas que funcionan como organizadoras en la delimitación y marcación de fronteras y la descripción de los elementos – signos que convierten a estos sujetos y territorios en objeto de representación. La conclusión es que estas operaciones y mecanismos discursivos colaboran en la co-producción de una imagen estigmatizada y criminalizante que reproduce los mecanismos de legitimación de la desigualdad social.

The conclusion is that these operations and discursive mechanisms collaborate in the co-production of a stigmatized and criminalizing image that reproduces the mechanisms of legitimization of social inequality.
