Cuerpo y técnica: un análisis de la danza como contenido para la educación del cuerpo

Abstract

El artículo propone una reconstrucción de la danza escénica occidental a partir de preguntarnos qué lugar ocupa la danza en el marco de la educación del cuerpo. En este sentido las categorías de cuerpo y técnica resultan ser loe ejes ordenadores de tal reconstrucción a partir de dejar de lado la dimensión artística de la práctica y resaltar su dimensión educativa. Cabe destacar que Este artículo forma parte de una investigación de mayor alcance, vinculada con una pregunta orientada a cuestionar qué lugar ocupa el cuerpo y el pensamiento sobre el cuerpo en la práctica y las teorías de la danza artística occidental. Creemos que proponer a la danza como contenido para la educación del cuerpo nos obliga a repensar no sólo la categoría de cuerpo, sino también la de técnica, que fuera interpretada siempre a la luz de su dimensión instrumental, esencializando esa perspectiva y obturando la posibilidad de pensar la técnica como un modo de la acción orientado a la creación de formas nuevas.

The article proposes a reconstruction of the Western scenic dance from asking ourselves what place dance occupies in the framework of the education of the body. In this sense, the categories of body and technique turn out to be the central axes of such reconstruction, starting from leaving aside the artistic dimension of the practice and highlighting its educational dimension. It should be noted that this article is part of a larger research, linked to a question aimed at questioning the place of the body and thinking about the body in practice and the theories of Western artistic dance. We believe that proposing dance as a content for the education of the body forces us to rethink not only the category of body, but also that of technique, which was always interpreted in the light of its instrumental dimension, essentializing that perspective and blocking the possibility of think technique as a mode of action oriented towards the creation of new forms.
