Lenguaje y retórica en Paul de Man: la ironía como resistencia a la lectura

Abstract

Este texto busca reponer la noción de «resistencia a la teoría» que Paul de Man desarrolla en el ensayo homónimo de 1982, con el objetivo de delimitar sus presupuestos teóricos más preponderantes y explicarlos en relación con el ensayo de de Man titulado “El concepto de ironía”. De esta manera, nos proponemos repensar la noción de «resistencia a la teoría» tomando como punto de partida el rol central que ocupa la noción de «lectura» en su construcción. Para hacer esto, recurriremos a algunos de los recientes ensayos donde Miguel Dalmaroni se ha encargado de pensar la teoría de Paul de Man (así como también las de Maurice Blanchot y Roland Barthes) en el ámbito de la crítica literaria argentina y latinoamericana.

This text tries to systematize the concept of «resistance to theory» that Paul de Man develops in his essay “The resistance to theory” (1982), in order to identify its theorical assumptions and explain them regarding the essay named “The concept of irony”. So, we intend to reconsider the concept of «resistance to theory» taking into account the concept of «reading» used in it. In order to do this, we will go through some of the latest essays where Miguel Dalmaroni has thought Paul de Man ´s theory (as well as the work of Maurice Blanchot and Roland Barthes) in relationship with the Argentine and Latin-American literary criticism.
