El falo descentrado

Abstract

El presente trabajo se enmarca en el proyecto de investigación "La constitución del sujeto-agente: los aportes de la filosofía de Judith Butler y su influencia actual" llevado a cabo en el Centro Interdisciplinario de Investigaciones en Género (CINIG, IdIHCS-CONICET) de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata, bajo la dirección de la Dra. María Luisa Femenías. En esta oportunidad, a partir de un análisis de contenido cualitativo de fuentes bibliográficas primarias, la propuesta se centra en: por un lado, analizar el lugar del falo, en tanto organizador simbólico, en diferentes perspectivas teóricas, por otro lado, delimitar las diferentes alternativas para descentrar el falo como ideal simbólico regulativo. El objetivo es someter el falo a diferentes localizaciones y desplazamientos teóricos para develar su inestabilidad como fundamento de una ley simbólica. Se parte del lugar que los varones ocupan en el pensamiento de feminismo lésbico radical. Luego se exponen, de manera breve, la propuesta de Judith Butler en torno al falo lesbiano, a partir de allí la noción de Cyborg de Donna Haraway, finalmente el lugar que el dildo tiene en el pensamiento de Beatriz Preciado. Las críticas hacia la categoría cuerpo se instalan como eje que vertebra las diferentes propuestas teóricas.

This article is part of a research project entitled "The Constitution of the Agentive Subject: The Contributions of Judith Butler's Philosophy and their Current Implications", conducted by the Centro Interdisciplinario de Investigaciones en Género (CINIG, IDIHCS-CONICET) at Universidad Nacional de La Plata under the direction of Prof. María Luisa Femenías, Ph.D. Starting from the analysis of qualitative content of primary sources, we focus our research, on the one hand, on the place of the phallus as symbolic organizer according to different theoretical approaches, and on the other hand, on defining the different alternatives to displacing the phallus as a regulatory symbolic ideal. The aim is to subject the phallus to different locations and theoretical displacements so as to unveil its instability as bearer of the symbolic law. This article first analyzes the place occupied by men in the Radical Lesbian Feminist Theory. Judith Butler's approach regarding the lesbian phallus is then briefly put forward; moving on to Donna Haraway's concept of cyborg, to finally discuss the place of the dildo in Beatriz Preciado's theory. Criticism towards the category of the body forms the backbone structuring the different theoretical approaches.
