Tecnologías digitales y actitud copyleft

Abstract

Este texto plantea la articulación entre las tecnologías, el arte y la comunicación. Establece una comparación entre los modos de producción del software libre y los procesos de creación que sustentan los artistas inscriptos en el movimiento de la Cultura libre y el Copyleft, estableciendo una relación entre los artistas y los programadores. Para dar cuenta de estas articulaciones, se analiza la obra “The man who sold the world” de una artista argentina que trabaja desde la actitud Copyleft. Esta obra sirve como caso testigo de las lógicas de producción y exhibición que se identificaron como recurrentes en las experiencias artísticas analizadas durante la investigación realizada. Además, permite indagar en torno a las transformaciones en las concepciones de autoría y originalidad que se proponen desde el movimiento de la Cultura libre.

This article sets out the articulation between the technologies, the art and the communication. It establishes a comparison between the modes of production of free software and the processes of creation that sustain the artists enrolled in the movement of Free Culture and Copyleft, establishing a relationship between artists and programmers. To account for these articulations, it is analyzed the art work “The man who sold the world” by an argentine artist who works from the Copyleft attitude. This work serves as a witness case of the logics of production and exhibition that were identified as recurrent in the artistic experiences analyzed throughout the research. In addition, the case of the work "The man who sold the world" allows to inquire about the transformations in the conceptions of authorship and originality that are proposed by the movement of the Free culture.
