Diversos aspectos atinentes a la esclavitud en Buenos Aires derivados del análisis de las fuentes notariales, 1821-1830

Abstract

El presente trabajo constituye un avance de la investigación sobre el negro porteño a partir de la segunda década post-revolucionaria, a través de la consulta de los distintos registros de los Protocolos Notariales, conservados en el Archivo General de la Nación. En síntesis, el artículo pretende ilustrar aspectos que quizá no hayan merecido la necesaria atención por parte de los investigadores de la problemática afroporteña durante el período independiente; nos referimos al análisis del fenómeno de la manumisión, preciada o graciosa, de la libertad futura condicional, de la figura del negro propietario de bienes inmuebles y de esclavos, como así también de los testamentos de las personas "de color". Parece útil, entonces, intentar estos estudios que nos podrán iluminar sobre aspectos poco o nada conocidos de los morenos y pardos de Buenos Aires durante el siglo XIX.

The present work is a step forward in the investigation about the black porteño from the post revolutionary second decade, through the consult of different registries of Notarial Protocols, preserved in the Archivo General de la Nación. Summarilly, this article pretends to illustrate aspects that maybe have not deserved the neccesary attenttion from the investigators of the afroporteño s historic problems during the independent period, we are making reference to the analysis of manumission phenomenon, bought or granted, of the future liberation under different conditions, of the negro owner of goods and slaves figure as well as the last will of "coloured" people. Seems useful, then, try this studies that can illuminate us about aspects little or none known at all about the negros in Buenos Aires during the XIXth century.
