De la metáfora como forma política: sobre el mostrar/decir del arte en torno a la trata de mujeres

Abstract

Este artículo constituye un primer abordaje al tema de las políticas artísticas vinculadas a la trata de mujeres. Tras una breve introducción dedicada a proporcionar un pantallazo sobre la situación del fenómeno de la trata en las sociedades contemporáneas, se estudiarán algunas posibles relaciones entre la práctica artística, la política y la puesta en circulación de sentidos en torno a los conflictos sociales. Se busca realizar desde la historia del arte un acercamiento estético y filosófico al problema de la representación y las políticas artísticas, por lo que se utilizan tanto nociones semióticas y de las ciencias del lenguaje como conceptos de teoría literaria y gnoseología, entramando consideraciones en torno de posibles fenómenos de significación con el ámbito de las experiencias más primarias de lo córporo-afectivo. Todo ello aplicado a la interpretación del funcionamiento de una propuesta artística. Se da aquí un lugar importante a los procesos metafóricos operados en la construcción de cualquier sentido, procesos que se vuelven materia de experimentación en la práctica artística ¿De qué manera las metáforas del arte pueden contribuir a activar, transformar y producir sentidos sobre el mundo en general y en torno de la trata de mujeres en particular? ¿Mediante qué vías el arte interpela y pulsa aspectos claves de la construcción de valores e imaginarios socioculturales? Por último, se busca dilucidar algo de los juegos ambiguos y contingentes de lo real y lo ficcional ¿Cómo se las arregla el arte para realizar sus invenciones transformadoras sobre los documentos de lo real y cómo para volver reales y tangibles sus ficciones?

This article is a first approach to the theme of artistic policies in relation to trafficking in women. After a short introduction dedicated to providing a screenshot on the situation of the phenomenon of trafficking in contemporary societies, some possible relations between artistic practice, politics, and the putting into circulation of senses around social conflicts from the history of art will be studied. It is not intended either as a sociological or communicative, or as an anthropological or historiographical study of the phenomenon. This article seeks, above all, to make from the history of art an aesthetic and philosophical approach to the problem of representation and artistic policy; therefor notions of semiotics and language sciences, literary theory and epistemology are used in order to generate a network of concepts surrounding possible phenomena of significance within the scope of most primary body-emotional experiences. All of this is with respect to the operation of a work of art. An important place is given here to the metaphorical processes operated in the construction of any meaning, processes that become a matter of experimentation in artistic practice. In what way can the metaphors used in art help to activate, to transform and to produce senses on the world in general and around trafficking of women especially? It is also interesting to relate this with the capacity of aesthetic experience, present in human activities and countless practices, but central in the practice and expectation of art, to cross and relate the emotional, personal and intellectual levels involved in conceptual, ethical and cognitive processes of artists and spectators. By means of what routes does art address and touch key aspects of the construction of values and sociocultural imagery? Finally, this article seeks to elucidate something of the ambiguous and contingent games of reality and fiction. How does art manage to make its transforming inventions on the documents of the real things and how does it make real and tangible its fictions? Which are the experiential effects of this permanent tension?
